The famous scene of Gene Kelly dancing in the rain was not in the original script, in the first draft it was going to be sung by Reynolds, O'Connor, and Kelly on their return from the presentation of 'The Duelist Knight'. During the filming of this same scene, Gene Kelly, the protagonist, had a fever of 39 degrees. A common legend is that Kelly shot the entire song in one take, thanks to several cameras placed in different predetermined locations, although in reality the sequence took 2-3 days. Another myth is that the rain was made by mixing water and milk, for a greater visual effect on camera; the desired visual effect was achieved, albeit with difficulty, thanks to backlight effects.
