What's up? My name's Matt Steffanina and today I'm going to teach you guys how to freestyle while doing a shuffle.

The most important thing to remember when you're freestyling is to stay on beat. Other than that there are really no rules, there's no right or wrong. But you want to go off the basic steps that you know. Your T-step, your Running Man, your glides, your kicks, your turns. When you're practicing you can use these steps in different combination to come up with new moves that you may not have done before.

For instance, let's take the T-step and find some creative new ways to use it. We start with our basic T-step here. If I take my back leg and instead of pushing it down, back into the T, I kick it out I've created a new move that I can use to travel across the floor. This is an example of combining a kick with your basic T-step. The best way to create new moves is to just turn on some music and start dancing. So practice with some music on. Start with your groove and build from there. Remember, there's no right or wrong.
