As the demographics, economies, and prioritization of higher education shift, so will the most educated countries in the world. And as we’ve seen in some of these countries, having high education rates don’t always translate into higher wages and better job opportunities.
So, what are the top 5 most educated countries in the world today? You might be surprised by who makes it onto the list.
We’ll be using data from 2017 compiled by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) -- which calculates the percentage of a given country’s population between the age of 25-64 years old who have completed higher education programs: which include 2-year and 4-year programs, as well as vocational schools.
