It's World Lindy Hop Day, and we have a livestream of some of Frankie Manning's favourite swing tunes along with a showcase of some of his choreographies and steps with teachers and students from Jazz Inc with music by The Rhythmakers! Learn more about the dance, a bit of the history and the music as we celebrate the man as well as the dance and the music!
The Rhythmakers line up for this livestream:
Takeshi Nishimura (trumpet)
Wharton Chan (saxophone/clarinet)
Amanda Lee (keys, vocals)
Liu Yonglun (guitar)
Masashi Sasaki (bass)
Khoo Shen-en (drums)
The band is led by Sinclair Ang on vocals
The event is free but as always we need your support and donations for rehearsal studio rental and live streaming production costs, and the livelihood of some of the full time musicians and dancers in the production. Do help sustain us so that we can continue to bring this amazing dance and music to everyone.

We would like to acknowledge Eric Tachibana and his daughter Jennifer Tachibana for supporting a part of the production costs.
If you wish to be a sponsor, do reach out to us via DM.
Once we've managed to cover costs, a portion of the total contributions will go towards the Frankie Manning Foundation, which continues to promote the dance and celebrate the late great Frankie Manning who's meant so much to the revival of Lindy Hop and all his contributions to the art form.
